Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PIE

Monday, April 2, 6:00pm

Love coding? Computers? Eating round food?  Join us on this day for a demo of the mini-computers of Arduino and Raspberry Pi.  We'll also have some of Jeni's Ugly Pies to nom! 

Candace Suriano, a graduate of Kettering University with degrees from Purdue University (MSME & MSE) and Dayton University (Ph.D.) will be here to demo these STEM devices.
On behalf of the Southeastern Michigan IEEE EMC Society, Dr. Suriano will be donating two Raspberry Pi 3s and two Arduinos to the library. Once processed, these will be available for patron checkout.

Give Peeps a Chance!

Monday, April 9, 5:30pm

 We'll have all the supplies you'll need to create a peep diorama. You'll have 90 minutes to create. After time is called, we'll take pictures of each entry and you'll take your creation home. The entire Library staff will review the pictures and vote on a winner!

Free Comic Book Day
Saturday, May 5, 2pm - 5pm

Drop in for a free comic book or two. Come in costume and you'll score an ice cream treat!  We send out a big thanks to our partner and sponsor for this annual event: Comic City!


(Sexuality and Gender Acceptance)

A diverse group of teens looking for acceptance, with a desire to help those around them. We'll be having discussions on social issues, volunteering in the community, enjoying arts & crafts, and generally having a good time hanging out.
