Consumer Collection

Looking to buy something new?  Our Consumer Section, located in the Adult Reference Department, holds recent and back issues of Consumer Reports magazine, as well as buying guides, "best buy" guides, and information for the savvy spender.

Test Preparation

Taking the SAT, the ACT, the GED, the ASVAB?  Looking to further your career in nursing, clerical, firefighter, postal, or other areas?  We have a collection of test preparation books that can help you study for specific standardized tests or that can give tips on studying in general.  There is a wide selection available and all books are eligible for check-out.

Career

Find information on nearly every career out there!  Learn what you can do with your English major or what careers are best suited for "outdoorsy" types.  Our extensive Career Collection has information on education requirements, hiring practices, average salaries, and options or specializations available.

Large Print Collection

Tiny paperbacks too much strain?  Check out our Large Print Collection: your favorite authors are now easier to read.  We also have a new large print section for books that have just been published.  Go to the Catalog and click on the tab marked "Large Print Search". 

We also have a collection of kids' books in Large Print.  Find titles such as Hoot, the Tale of Despereaux, and A Wrinkle in Time.

Audiobooks

For anyone with a long commute to work.  Listen to your favorite books on CD or cassette tape.  Audiobooks circulate for 3 weeks.  Go to the Catalog and click on the tab marked "Audiobook Search".

Movies

We have an extensive collection of DVD and VHS titles, including recent releases.  These materials circulate for 1 week and cost only 50 cents to rent (please be aware there is a $1.00 per day late fee).  Go to the Catalog and click on the tab marked "Movie Search".
