Celebrate National Library Week

April 13 -19, 2008

What is National Library Week? 

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.  All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate

What's happening at Highland Library during National Library Week?

  • Kids can stop by and get a balloon on Saturday!

  • Teen Movie Night - April 14, 5:30pm - for Teens grades 6 though 12.  Watch I am Legend w/ pizza!

  • Silly Stories - April 15, 7:00pm - for families w/ kids ages 3-6ish. Hear some tickly stories (PJs okay)

  • Lego Fest! - April 16, 2:00pm - Kids K-4th grades.  Exercise your creativity with Legos!

  • Friends Bargain Book Sale - April 19,10am - 1pm - Come buy used books at a very reasonable price!
