Book Reviewer Olivia Adams

I loved Dirty Magic by Carol Hughes because it kept me on my toes.  It was full of tense moments, sad moments, and moments to get excited about!  It was one of my favorite books because it had lots of adventures, cool machines, fights, anger, tears, and a tremendously good ending. 

In the beginning a boy named Joe got angry at his little sister named Hannah.  She gets sick (so he thinks) and so Joe goes off with a girl named Katherine to a land where rain falls continuously. There is a war with giant machines called Goliaths, Scrapers, and Zamrami.  Goliaths have guns that are attracted to movement.  Scrapers have a pole that comes out very long with a chain on the end - they swing around very fast.  Zamrami have white blinding lights that will take your irises and pupils away forever if you look at it.
