The Gift of Reading
Give your favorite book to a child in need.
Donate new, nonreligious children's books (suitable for ages birth through 12 years old) to the Highland Library and the Detroit Free Press will make sure they get to a child in need this season. Just drop your books off at the Youth desk before Wednesday, December 3 to make someone's holiday bright!
The Gift of Reading is a partnership of the Detroit Free Press and your local library. Your generosity will help provide books to homeless shelters, Head Start programs, agencies serving Braille-reading youngsters and others in need. Contact Deb Scola, Community Affairs Director at 313-222-6895 for more information.
You can also donate directly to Seedlings Braille Books at: Seedlings Braille Books PO Box 51924 Livonia, MI 48151
Thanks for your donation!
