home >> about the library >> Director's Welcome Greetings! Welcome to the Highland Township Public Library. Whether you are visiting in person or online, there’s something here for you to discover.
An Opinion Piece in the Christian Science Monitor (January 13, 2006) referred to libraries as “places to linger and mingle.” We truly hope to create that kind of space here in Highland – whether you are reading your daily newspaper, attending a book discussion, using a library computer, enjoying the buzz of activity around a storytime or other special program, or are working on your wireless laptop while you quietly gaze into the pine trees and over the lake. Or maybe you are just popping in to pick up an item that we are holding for you...
We are honored that you make us a part of your life - for lifelong learning, for information, relaxation and play. One of the pavers in the library’s front entry walkway reads, “Highland – meet me at the library.” We’re pleased to meet you and we thank the residents and businesses of Highland for the support that makes library services possible.
Come back often. Bookmark this site for easy access, call with questions or suggestions, e-mail us, walk in the front door when you can. Let us know what the library means to you and how we might better meet your needs and enhance your life.
Enjoy!
